Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) Ltd/Gte

We License, Collect, and Distribute Royalties for Performing, Mechanical, and Neighboring Rights on Behalf of Music Creators and Rights Holders.

Music consists of two key elements:

The composition, including melody, lyrics, and arrangement.

The recorded version of the composition (MP3, CD, or digital file).

The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has granted MCSN the exclusive mandate to manage and license these rights, ensuring creators are fairly compensated for their work.

Protects composers, songwriters, and publishers when their musical compositions are performed publicly, broadcasted, or streamed.

Protects composers, songwriters, and publishers when their musical works are reproduced and distributed (e.g., CDs, digital downloads, streaming).

Protects Performers, Producers, and Record Labels when their sound recordings are broadcasted or publicly played.

If you play, stream, or use music in your business, you need an MCSN license.
